Having read the other two books in the Smitten series (Smitten and Secretly Smitten), I was eager to delve into the newest book, Smitten Book Club. This book, like the other two in the series, is the work of four brilliant authors: Colleen Coble, Kristin Billerbeck, Diann Hunt, and Denise Hunter.

I am a big fan of study Bibles, so I was excited to hear about the NIV Essentials Study Bible. This amazing Bible incorporates parts from six other reference books throughout its pages: NIV Study Bible, NIV Quest Study Bible, NIV Archaeological Study Bible, NIV Student Bible, The Great Rescue Bible, and The Essential Bible Companion.

When I first heard that Mandy, one of my Facebook friends and a friend of several of my friends, was going to write a book called Reforming Social Media, I was thrilled! When I had the opportunity to be part of her launch team, I was even more thrilled. When I actually sat down and read her book...I just sighed. This, my readers, is a breath of fresh air...something we all need to read, to think about, to reflect upon.

The Adventure Bible Storybook (Deluxe Edition) is a wonderful resource that I highly recommend for every family. This set includes a beautifully illustrated Bible storybook and two CDs. The pictures in the storybook use a variety of absolutely beautiful and stunning shades of colors, and the pictures do not look like typical "kiddie" type pictures; they are illustrated to look realistic.

I recently had the privilege of reading Courtney Joseph's book Women Living Well. This book was a breath of fresh air. Women Living Well supplies the reader with practical advice for living in our fast-paced, technology-saturated world.

I recently received a copy of the NIV Homeschool Mom's Bible in exchange for a review. The devotional readings in and of themselves were very encouraging.

Barefoot Summer by Denise Hunter is one of the best summer romances I have ever read. Madison McKinley had a twin brother who drowned, and she has struggled with so many things since that time--including a recurring nightmare.

A Bride for All Seasons : The Mail Order Bride Collection was a wonderful collection of novellas. All of the stories take place in 1870 and all involve a mail order bride. Another singular thread connects all the stories together: each bride and her groom meet through The Hitching Post Mail-Order Catalogue.

When I blogged a few years ago, one thing I really enjoyed doing was book reviews. I'm such a bookworm anyway, so getting a book in exchange for a review seems like possibly one of the best trades ever. I've found myself looking for a particular Bible recently. Sometimes I'm struck by the irony of it all: here I am looking for the PERFECT Bible (Although, let's be HONEST, the Bible is ALREADY perfect sans any type of notes!) that will help me grow in the best possible way.
