FACEing the Truth: What Effect is Facebook Having on Relationships?

The following post is from a blog I had a few years back.  However, I thought this post was worth republishing:

Seeing the Truth

Several decades ago, I bought a Christian Growth Study Bible advocated by YWAM.  This has been one of my all-time favorite Bibles.  I really like that it has little blurbs about different unreached people groups throughout it.

A Cat's Perspective: Eye Candy I Cannot Eat

While humans find certain things to be entertaining or amusing, those of us with a slightly higher IQ understand that they are NOT entertaining or amusing.  Take, for instance, the bird feeder.  First of all, WHY would anyone feed a bird except to make it nice and plump for dinner?

The Tooth of the Matter

Last night my husband asked Little Sparkler (I think that name suits her...what do you think?) if she had brushed her teeth already or not.  She (too) quickly replied, "Why, YES."  I remembered that we were out of the bathroom cups that I normally keep in there and asked her what she had done when it had come time to rinse.  She again (too) quickly replied, "There were cups."  Then, she scurried on over to the bathroom and closed the door.  While she was in there, my husband and I heard her rummaging through the cabinet under the sink.  You know what she was doing?

My Centipede-Slaying Knight

Today, I posted THIS on Facebook:

"There are moments when I face parenting with fear and trepidation. One such moment came a few minutes ago when my little girl said, "Mommy, there's a BIG centipede in the bathroom. PLEASE kill it." EEEKKKK!!!"

Feeling Fine: It's Feline time

Psst.  It’s me…Snickers, the most important member of this household; I’m the cat.  “OH…a MERE cat?” you say.  RRRREALLY, I’m more important than you would think.  Truth is, even the mom doesn’t know the HALF of it.  Anyway, she thinks I’m up here in her room snoozing away again.  (Don’t worry, I would NEVER neglect my zzzzz’s; they’re coming!!!)  Truth is, I’m blogging, too.  I thought you’d want to know how things REALLY are around here.  Consider this the INSIDE scoop!

Wednesday's Wonderful Website: Classics for Kids

I plan to post various websites that are of interest to those of us doing some sort of education with our kids at home.  You don't have to be a homeschool mom to be teaching your kids!  In fact, I'd say that all parents are doing SOMETHING to further educate their own children.
