Natural Allergy Relief?

Today was one of those crazy "running around everywhere" kind of days.  No, let me take that back:  the last SEVEN days have been one of those crazy "running around everywhere" kind of WEEKS.  My first clue that we had too much going on was when I showed up for an appointment on the wrong day.  I don't do that kind of stuff, as I'm EXTREMELY type A. So, when I start doing things like that, I definitely have too much going on...At least no one had to know about my embarrassing situation, as the office was CLOSED.  (Oh wait, I'm blogging about this, so...guess the word is out.)

So, since I didn't have my appointment, I decided to use that time to run some quick errands.  I stopped at CVS to try to get something to help relieve my current allergy symptoms.   As you can imagine, these symptoms aren't helping me during my crazy week either!  I have runny eyes, a runny nose, bit of a clogged up ear; etc.  Considering that this always happens to me this time of year, I'm pretty sure we're talking allergies.  Well, apparently, I'm not the ONLY one with these symptoms: the allergy relief products at CVS were definitely picked over already!  What I did see on the products they still had scared me a bit:  "WARNING:  may cause excitability."  (Are you kidding me?  That's the LAST thing I need in my crazy life!)   The same meds also caused drowsiness...?  I don't need that either, as my kids would definitely be all over that one!  On a whim, I decided to stock up on the more homeopathic solutions offered at CVS. Do they work?  I have no idea.  I do plan on finding out, though.  Interestingly, those were also pretty much picked over.  Guess I'm not the only one that wants to know if they work or not...Some seem "normal" to me:  a lozenge (with interesting ingredients such as stinging nettle leaf, elder flower, plantain leaf, and eyebright) or a mouth spray.  One of them is some kind of swab that goes up and around in a person's nostril...not so sure about that one!  Hey, I'll try it out, though!

In thinking about allergies, I saw this article about natural allergy relief.  It's definitely something to consider, and, it certainly won't hurt to eat the healthy foods that are suggested anyway, right?  Check it out:  here!

Here's to a symptom-free allergy season for you, too!  What have YOU found that works?
